55,000 BTU, 21.3 SEER2

The 55,000 BTU, ES-55Z-M6C is designed to easily support up to 4 air handlers at up to 1.25 times the condenser BTU rating, or 68,750 BTU across all air handlers. This adaptive, inverter condenser is constantly self-adjusting to provide the precise amount of heating or cooling needed to maintain your desired temperature in each room or zone. You can set different temperatures room by room, even turn off heating and cooling in unused areas. This, combined with a high efficiency rating of 22.0 SEER2, means you are buying a system designed to intelligently save you money both up front and over the lifetime of the unit.

Although the condenser is pre-charged, please note that this model of equipment does not have quick connect line set connectors and is not a self-install unit. You will need a professional to add more refrigerant and vacuum the lines as needed. Installation materials such as line sets, control wire, drain hose, whip and disconnect are not included, but are available at additional cost in the Accessories section to the right of this text. For all multi zone ACIQ condensers, a minimum of two air handlers is needed for the unit to function.

Self Cleaning Condenser

ACiQ condensers stay clean and efficient with self-cleaning technology built right in. At the end of each cycle, the fan reverses direction and blows air out the back of the unit — helping remove leaves, dirt, and debris before buildup can begin.

 

9,000 BTU ACIQ Platinum Single Zone Concealed Duct Mini Split Air Handler - R454B | 230V

Concealed Duct air handlers give you all the advantages of a multi zone mini split, without any visible air handlers on your walls or ceilings. These flexible units are designed to be concealed above the ceiling, below the floor, above a closet ceiling, above a hallway ceiling or behind a soffit. You run flex ducting from the concealed duct air handler to ceiling or wall registers in your desired location. Depending on the capacity of the unit, up to 4 flex duct runs can be connected, perfect for a pair of small bedrooms or a master suite.

The design is extremely simple return air is brought in at the rear of the unit and supply (cooled or heated) air is pushed out the front by an almost-silent squirrel cage fan. You attach a pre-made manifold takeoff or field-fabricate plenums using ductboard. Using readily available supplies, the customization possibilities are endless.

Installation Considerations

Concealed duct system installations require a certain amount of pre-planning, and are similar in scope to a standard home HVAC installation. They are best used in new construction projects or additions. Installation will require flex ducting, register vents, plenums and installation supplies in addition to the equipment components. The Concealed Duct units have a factory-installed pump to lift the condensation. From there you will use PVC to construct a drain system to a safe wastewater location.
